an artists use of rope as a “humble” material — I pull some rope from the garbage can (fortunately I didn’t discard it this morning (measuring life through garbage pick ups (Thursday — garbage out pay in — end of week — dentist I almost forgot))) the difference between materials found - left over etc and purchased —
I save a lot of material I could just go out and buy as I needed if I needed them (rope for example) but there is a difference — materials of the shadow caster and copper series (2nd not yet done) — old copper vs new specifically purchased pieces — watches from my father’s drawer
